STUDENT WORKSHOPS

Please note that in-person workshops are currently available mainly in Bristol, Bath, Hampshire, Southwest, North and Northwest London, Surrey, and Yorkshire for state schools and private schools. If you are outside these areas please make an enquiry and we will try and accommodate your request.

“We just wanted to say thankyou to you and to Nicola for the Papaya workshops today.  Feedback from the staff team was very positive; we thought the digital resources were excellent and the delivery elicited lots of thought-provoking discussion.  Similarly the children gained so much from the session and really enjoyed it. It was brilliant!” Bathford School

“As a GP and parent, Dr Susie balances her expertise in this area with the lived experience of being a parent. Her approach is none-judgemental, but full of practical tips and strategies for helping our young people manage their screentime. If your school is serious about supporting parents keen to delay smartphone use or manage the time their children spend on smart devices then I would highly recommend her.”

Sam Gibbons Head of the Preparatory Department at Manchester High School for Girls.

Being in the same room as other parents with all of us hearing the same message was a real game changer. Previously I hadn’t felt empowered to open up that conversation for fear of appearing judgemental. Everyone has been very guarded. And yet today saw a flurry of WhatsApp messages talking about how blown away they were by your talk and so I was able to follow up with a link to the SFC parent pact. It’s the first time I’ve had the guts to put it out there.  Not only that, it seems the kids were similarly enthused by your workshop! My daughter doesn’t have any electronic devices, so her pledge had been “I won’t ask my parents for a smartphone”.

 PARENT TALKS

In-person parent talks are currently available primarily in Bristol, Bath, Hampshire, Southwest London, Surrey, Yorkshire and West Sussex. We also provide online parent talks available nationwide.

“I just wanted to say that the presentation last night at the Prep curriculum evening was the best I’ve ever seen for addressing the issues with young people’s screen time and phone usage. It was very inspirational and the workshops yesterday with the girls, complimented it brilliantly.”

“I can’t thank you enough for yesterday’s meeting and presentation from Dr Susie .“It was so powerful to be in the room with fellow parents and to know that we were all hearing the same message. Many of us know the problem – and the solution – but with it being a collective action problem, the impact of us hearing it together will be seismic. I now feel empowered to start that conversation.”
